Weaving in the Barn
On Saturday August 11th seven members of our Guild joined other weavers at Cheryl Sheridan's Barn Studio for a workshop on Krokbragd. Pat Zannier travelled up from London to teach this Interesting structure. Krokbragd is an ideal structure for weft faced rugs. The three pick sequence produces a thick durable rug that lies flat on the floor. Colour changes can be made by changing one or more of the wefts. Pat brought several small samples of various techniques used when finishing Krokbragd. Of course one of the high lights of a workshop in the Barn Studio was the pot luck lunch.
